The 2017 Volvo XC60 is a luxury Sporting Utility Vehicle that was manufactured and released into the market by the Swedish automobile giant, Volvo Motors Corporation. It forms the basis of the following review.

Exterior

The exterior of the automobile measures 74.4 inches wide by 182.8 inches long by 67.4 inches high; it has a ground clearance of 9.1 inches; rear track of 62.4 inches; front track of 64.3 inches and wheel base of 109.2 inches. It has a roof rack, a variable intermittent rain sensing wiper, rear spoiler, skid plates, rear defogger, alloy wheels, fixed lifgate window, and a rear lifgate door, among others. It is also available in a variety of color options such as: Bright Silver Metallic, Crystal White Pearl, Black Sapphire Metallic, and Twilight Bronze Metallic e.t.c.

 

Interior

The 2017 Volvo XC60 features a very spacious interior that has the following dimensions: front head room of around 38 inches; front leg room of around 41.2 inches; rear hip room of approximately 53.8 inches; rear leg room of approximately 36.4 inches; front hip room of around 54.2 inches; front shoulder room of around 56.7 inches; rear head room of around 38.1 inches; and rear shoulder room of around 55.2 inches. It also has passenger seats at the front and rear compartments, ventilation ducts, folding center armrests, height-adjustable seats, and indeed, more besides.

Engine and Transmission

The 2017 Volvo XC60 has four different engine types that are mounted into its different trim levels/configurations. These are the 2.0 liters V4 engine; 2.5 liters V5 engine; 3.0 liters V6 engine; and 3.2 liters V6 engines respectively. The engines generate around 258 pounds-feet of torque at around 1,500 to 4,800 revolutions per minute; and 240 horsepower at around 5,600 revolutions per minute. Those engines are mounted on an eight-speed shiftable automatic transmission.

Fuel Consumption

This automobile runs on the regular unleaded gasoline fuel. It has a fuel tank capacity of around 18.5 gallons, and its average fuel consumption for city travels is 24 miles per gallon and 31 miles per gallon for highway travels. In total, it can travel a maximum range of 444 miles in the city and 573.5 miles in the highways for every completely full tank.
